President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of Jordan discussed fraternal relations and cooperation between the two countries.
This came when President Sheikh Mohamed on Wednesday received King Abdullah at Al Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, the UAE President welcomed the Jordanian King and exchanged with him New Year greetings and prayed to Allah Almighty for further progress and prosperity for the two countries, region and the world.
Earlier, the King of Jordan arrived on Wednesday in the country on a fraternal visit. Upon his arrival, he was welcomed by Sheikh Mohamed and a number of Sheikhs.
In attendance were Lt. General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; Sheikh Tahnoun Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser; Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court; Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Office; Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court; Dr Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President; and Humaid Obaid Abu Shabas, President of the Supreme Audit Institution.
Ayman Al Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, was also present.
Also on Wednesday, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed received the organising committee of the March of the Union, which took place at the Presidential Court in Al Wathba on the occasion of the UAE 51st National Day.
The committee was led by Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court. During the meeting, which was held at Qasr Al Bahr Palace, Sheikh Mohamed welcomed the committee members, exchanged friendly conversations with them, and thanked them for their efforts to ensure the success of the annual march.
The delegation expressed its pride in contributing to one of the key national events held during a precious occasion, which highlighted the values of cohesion, belonging and patriotism of the Emirati society.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and President of the Ajman Executive Council; Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region; Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council; Sheikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region; Sheikh Nahyan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation; Lt. General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and several Sheikhs, officials and citizens.
Pakistan PM thanks UAE for support during flood crisis in phone call with Sheikh Mohamed
Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed on Tuesday received a phone call from Shahbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the friendly Islamic Republic of Pakistan. During the call, the two leaders reiterated their mutual commitment to further develop bilateral ties between Pakistan and the UAE and reviewed a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
Shahbaz Sharif expressed his thanks and appreciation to Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed for the continuous support provided by the UAE to Pakistan, especially during the recent flood crisis in Pakistan.
