The traffic patrols at the Dubai Police seized 90 vehicles that were driven recklessly during the rainfall in Al Ruwayyah area, Dubai, Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of the Traffic Department said.
He pointed out that the traffic patrols spotted a number of drivers driving their vehicles recklessly in a way that endangers theirs and the other’s safety during the past weekend in Al Ruwayya area.
“The traffic patrols were able to seize the vehicle involved in that act, while the drivers were referred to the competent department for further legal action against them,” Major General Al Mazrouei added.
He warned against driving recklessly on the roads, explaining that the law criminalise driving a vehicle in a way that endangers the life of the driver or the life, safety or security of others, or driving a vehicle in a way that would damage public or private facilities.
The vehicles shall be impounded, while the perpetrators shall be referred to the judicial authorities, he added.
