The Jordanian Criminal Investigation Department arrested a person who orchestrated an armed robbery at a gas station in the southern Shuna area in Jordan.
He stole 1,700 dinars.
The media spokesman for the Public Security Directorate said that a report was received by the Criminal Investigation Department that two unknown persons had entered a gas station in the southern Shuna area, and while the worker was filling up the vehicle, one of them assaulted him with a stick, and the other threatened him with a firearm and stole 1,700 dinars from him and fled the scene. The worker was not harmed.
The media spokesman confirmed that a team from the Criminal Investigation Department investigated the incident from the first moment, and that by collecting information from the crime scene and following it up, a suspected person was identified, whose whereabouts were determined. He was arrested.
The authorities said that he had confessed to committing the crime in association with another person (the search is still underway for him), and part of the stolen money was seized from his possession.
A video clip captured by surveillance cameras at the station showed the robbery and assault, who tried to hide their faces while the station worker was refuelling a vehicle carrying them.
