A group of 25 Pakistani bikers, on a road trip to the Holy City of Makkah, visited the Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi.
The group belongs to the Cross Route Club in Pakistan. Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi welcomed the group at the embassy and hosted a lunch in their honour.
The group had started their bike ride from Lahore on Jan.6, 2023. The group is on its way to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.

The bikers reached the UAE from Iran and are heading towards Saudi Arabia. Apart from Pakistan, the UAE and Saudi Arabia, their 60-day journey will also cover Jordan, Iraq and Iran, logging a distance of 14,000km.
Mukaram Tareen, leader of the bikers’ group, said that passing through brotherly Islamic nations would promote a positive image of Pakistan, its rich cultural heritage, pristine natural beauty and warm hospitality of its people.

Tirmizi in his remarks appreciated the initiative of the bikers for promoting the positive image of the motherland in different regional countries and stated that such tours should be organised more frequently to and from Pakistan.
The ceremony was concluded with a tree planting ceremony by Mukaram Tareen at the Pakistani mission.
