Junkie gets life in prison

The Dubai Criminal Court sentenced a GCC citizen to life, for heroin abuse and possession of 121 grammes of it besides various narcotic substances. The convict was arrested red-handed at his house in Nad Al Hamar in Dubai.
The details of the case date back to April 2022, when reliable information was received by the General Department for Drug Control at Dubai Police, alerting that the convict who lived in the Nad Al Hamar area used narcotics and psychotropic substances and possessed a quantity of them.
According to the case file, a police team searched and investigated the case and found the information was correct.
A permit was obtained from the Public Prosecution in Dubai to search the suspect’s residence and vehicle and arrest him. He was found in possession of 4 plastic cans containing substances weighing 121 grammes suspected of being narcotics.
