The Abu Dhabi Court for Family and Civil and Administrative Cases obligated a man to pay a woman Dhs20,000, for injuring her and damaging her vehicle in a traffic accident.
The court indicated that the woman sustained physical injuries as a result of the accident, and she was terrified and frightened at the moment of the accident.
The details date back to an earlier time, when the complainant filed a lawsuit, in which she demanded that the appellee be obligated to pay her Dhs45,000 in compensation for the material and moral damages she incurred, and to obligate him to pay fees and expenses.
The court indicated that he caused damage to the integrity of her body and to her vehicle as a result of his negligence, lack of caution and violation of the law, as he deviated with his vehicle, and crashed into hers, and as a result, she sustained the injuries shown in the medical report, as well as damaging parts of her vehicle.
The complainant explained that the Criminal Court convicted the appellee and fined him Dhs5,000, with a final ruling.
The court said that the appellee's fault is proved and that the complainant suffered physical injuries on the left side, pain in the neck and left shoulder, pain in the left thigh, swelling in the scalp, and moral damages, and then the court obligated the appellee to pay the complainant Dhs20,000 in compensation besides the fees and expenses.
