The Dubai Cares, in cooperation with the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) and the Sharjah Charity International, and in coordination with the Ministry of Community Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, organised at the Expo City Dubai, the societal national campaign “Bridges of Goodness” in order to reinforce the country’s efforts in providing aid for families affected by earthquakes in Syrian and Turkey.
“The corporation was able to mobilise more than 500 volunteers from Emiratis and residents of various nationalities as part of the “Bridges of Good” campaign to prepare thousands packages of food, medicines, clothes, health and winter supplies to support those affected by the earthquakes in Syria and Turkey,” Abdullah Ahmed Al Shehhi, Operations Manager at Dubai Cares, said.
The donations include tents, tarpaulins, cooking utensils and equipment, sleeping bags, foldable beds, blankets, heaters for tents, and canned and dry foodstuffs, as well as nutritional supplements for children, water, medicines and medical supplies, Al Shehhi added.
