Al Gergawi said that the next conflict in the world will be a technological and not only geopolitical conflict, explaining at the opening of the World Summit of Governments that countries will rely on artificial intelligence. Adopting artificial intelligence will pave the way for economic, military and scientific advantage.
Al-Gergawi added that the illiterate person in the future is the one who cannot live and deal with artificial intelligence techniques. In the next decade, tens of millions of jobs will be vacant due to the lack of suitable skills among individuals.
He continued, "The issue of unemployment for governments will not be represented in the challenge of creating jobs only, but rather in providing appropriate competencies and technical skills that qualify individuals for future jobs."
Al Gergawi said the cost of climate change on the global economy by 2050 would come to $ 23 trillion.
Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman, World Economic Forum also joined Al Gergawi at the opening session of the Summit.
