The Federal Authority for Identity and citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) has raised the fees for applying for the golden visa in the UAE for a period of 10 years,from Dhs50 to Dhs150.
The new fees includes the authority’s fees, electronic services fees and smart services fees.
ICP called on foreigners in the country and abroad wishing to obtain a golden visa to verify their eligibility to obtain it through the website http://smartservices.icp.gov.ae or the smart application “UAEICP” and follow the steps and instructions to complete the procedures.
ICP clarified that the candidacy application is a service according to which an initial electronic approval is issued for the issuance of the golden visa.
It specified 5 steps for submitting the application, starting with filling in the data and attaching the attachments (compulsory and optional documents vary according to the data entered in the application), paying the fees, providing the service after submitting the application, and receiving the transaction by e-mail of the applicant.
ICP indicated that there are 3 channels through which requests are received, which are “ICP’s website or smart application, customer happiness centres, and typing offices approved by ICP.”
The application will be rejected electronically after 30 days have passed in the event that the application is returned due to deficiencies in the data or the failure to complete the required documents, ICP indicated.
The application will also be rejected if it is returned 3 times due to deficiencies in the data or the failure to complete the required documents, It added.
Only issuance fees and financial guarantees, if any, will be refunded in the event that the application is rejected, through credit card within a period not exceeding six months from the date of submission of the application, or through the procedures followed by a cheque or bank transfer within a period not exceeding five years.
