Three siblings in Jordan died after they inhaled gas that reportedly leaked from a fireplace, which was in the room where they were sleeping.
It was also reported in local media that the children’s mother had been transferred to hospital, as her condition was critical.
The children were dead, before the ambulance transferred them to the hospital, while their mother is still receiving the medical treatment, as she suffered from suffocation due to inhaling a fireplace gas, Dr. Osama Al Qatarneh, Director of Al Totanji Hospital in Amman said.
Close friends to the afflicted family said that their father had not been at home, when the accident took place, and that he had lost all his kids in the incident.
The concerned authorities in Jordan reiterated their call and warning to the public, urging them to exercise precaution when using fireplaces during the winter, as such tragic incidents usually take place in this period yearly.
