His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, visited the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) on Wednesday.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid said on Twitter, “During my visit to the IDEX exhibition in AbuDhabi today, 65 countries display the pride of their defense industries, and 41 Emirati pavilions represent the pride of our national defense industries, including weapons, armored vehicles, drones, advanced cyber warfare systems, and others. We are a country of peace, and peace needs a force to protect and sustain it and deter its enemies.”
The Dubai Ruler toured several pavilions and was briefed about the latest technologies at display.
On the other hand, the Ruler of Dubai issued Law No. (3) of 2023, renaming Dubai Maritime City Authority to Dubai Maritime Authority and affiliating it with the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC).
This law aims to reinforce Dubai’s status as a leading global coastal trade hub, improve maritime security in collaboration with other relevant authorities, attract local and foreign investments, protect the marine environment, and achieve among other objectives.
