Separate areas across the UAE witnessed rains of varying intensity and hails storm with a drop of temperature on Thursday due to unstable weather conditions, which would continue till Saturday.
Light to moderate and heavy rains with hails fell on across the UAE including Mukhairez in Al Dhafra Region; Dibba and Al Bidya in Fujairah; Shaml, Al Nakheel and Al Dhait in Ras Al Khaimah; the industrial area and Al Maqtaa in Umm Al Quwain; Al Aweer and Al Warqa in Dubai; Al Dhaid, Mleiha, Al Batayeh, Al Hamriya and Dibba Al Hisn in Sharjah; Mushairef and Al Jurf in Ajman and other separate areas.
The lowest temperature of 11.6˚C was registered in Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah at 3:45am UAE local time.
Rain and hails fall in an area in Dibba Al Fujairah.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) called on the public to take caution during the heavy rainfall and strong winds on some eastern and northern area, which would led to lower horizontal visibility, and to stay away from flooded areas.
Friday’s weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy in general and cloudy at times with a chance of some cumulus clouds in the east accompanied by rainfall, the NCM said, adding that the weather will be humid at night and on Saturday morning with a chance of fog or light fog on some inland and coastal areas.
Low to moderate winds will blow, turning to active at times, while the sea will have regular to moderate waves in the Arabian Gulf and moderate waves in the Sea of Oman.
Saturday’s weather will be clear to partly cloudy in general and cloudy at times with a chance of some cumulus clouds over some eastern areas, it said. The weather will be humid at night and on Sunday morning with a chance of fog or light fog over some coastal and inland areas, it added.
Light to moderate northeasterly to northwesterly winds will blow, turning to active at times at 10 to 20 and up to 35 km/h, while the sea will have regular waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
