The Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman completed a number of roads in the Manama area, at a total cost of Dhs4.5 million, as part of the department’s endeavour to provide an integrated infrastructure in all regions of Ajman, to meet the needs of population and urban expansion, improve the quality of life, and achieve the goals of the emirate’s strategic indicators. Salem Abdullah Bin Ghalita, Director of the Manama Municipality Department, explained that the Municipality worked on completing a number of new asphalt roads, to ensure easy and comfortable transportation for the residents of the region.
He added that the project is in line with the department’s plan to develop and improve the infrastructure, and in line with the emirate’s urban plan 2040.
Abdullah Bin Ghalita Stressed that the project is also in line with the objectives of the department seeking to provide all the elements of well-being and a comfortable life for all.
Recently, Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of Ajman Executive Council, launched the second package of infrastructure development projects in the emirate.
Valued at over Dhs102 million, the projects are part of the second package of the initiative of Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, for infrastructure development in Ajman, which aims to make the emirate one of the most important modern cities in the fields of architecture and construction.
Sheikh Ammar was briefed by Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, on objectives of the second package projects.
Sheikh Ammar also reviewed the development plan for Al Ittihad Road, a key artery that links Ajman to other emirates.
He said the Dhs71.6 million-road would provide the required expansion to reduce the increasing vehicular traffic. The second package focuses on economic, cultural and sports fields, he added.
