The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) has affirmed that the issuance of an entry visa from abroad for those who have a valid residency in the UAE to visit a friend or relative is limited only to the first and second degree relatives.
The ICP clarified that, in accordance with the decision on the controls of entry and residence of foreigners, it is a must for the issuance of an entry visa to visit a friend or relative that the visitor coming to the UAE be a friend or relative of a citizen, whatever the degree of kinship, and that must be a relative of the first or second degree of a resident of the country, and in this case it is required that the resident occupies one of the positions within the first or second professional level.
“There is a list of professions of the first level which includes 131 jobs, while the list of the second level includes 328 jobs," ICP affirmed.
