The UAE will witness some cumulus clouds accompanied by rain on separate areas of the country between Saturday and Tuesday, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
Saturday’s weather is expected to be partly cloudy and dusty at times during the day with a chance of cumulus clouds accompanied by rain in the east in the afternoon, the NCM said.
It would be humid at night and on Sunday morning in some western coastal areas, the agency added.
Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow, turning to active and sand-stirring during the day at 15-25kph and up to 40kph, while the sea will have regular to moderate waves in the Arabian Gulf and regular waves in the Sea of Oman.
Sunday’s weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times with a chance of some cumulus rain clouds, especially over some eastern and western areas, it said. Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow, turning to active to strong and sand-stirring at times, while the sea will have moderate waves but will turn to rough in the Arabian Gulf compared to regular to moderate waves in the Sea of Oman.
Monday’s weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times with chance of rain in different areas of the country, the NCM said.
Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow, turning to strong and sand-stirring at times, while the sea will have moderate waves but may turn to rough in the Arabian Gulf compared to regular to moderate waves in the Sea of Oman, it added.
Tuesday’s weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy at times with a chance of rain on some eastern and northern areas, it said.
Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow, turning to active at times, while the sea will have moderate waves in the Arabian Gulf and regular waves in the Sea of Oman.
Last week, different areas areas in the country witnessed rain of varying intensity and hail.
Light to moderate and heavy rain with hail fell on separate areas across the UAE including Mukhairez in Al Dhafra Region; Dibba and Al Bidya in Fujairah; Shaml, Al Nakheel and Al Dhait in Ras Al Khaimah; the industrial area and Al Maqtaa in Umm Al Quwain; Al Aweer and Al Warqa in Dubai; Al Dhaid, Mleiha, Al Batayeh, Al Hamriya and Dibba Al Hisn in Sharjah; Mushairef and Al Jurf in Ajman and other separate areas.
The lowest temperature of 11.6°C was registered in Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah at 3:45am UAE local time.
