Syrian President Bashar Al Assad arrived on Sunday in the UAE on an official visit.
Assad arrived in the UAE with his wife Asma Al Assad.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received Al Assad and his delegation at the Presidential Flight in Abu Dhabi.
Upon entering the airspace of the UAE, the Syrian President's plane was accompanied by warplanes to welcome the visit, and an official reception ceremony took place at Qasr Al Watan.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed said on Twitter, “I welcomed President Bashar Al-Assad of Syria to the UAE today, and we held constructive talks aimed at developing relations between our two countries. Our discussions also explored ways of enhancing cooperation to accelerate stability and progress in Syria and the region.”
Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed accompanied the guest president to the platform of honor and played the national anthem for Syria, while the artillery fired 21 rounds and a group of honor guards lined up to salute him.

Syrian First Lady Asma Al-Assad will meet with the Mother of the Nation Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, President of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation.
