Spanish King Felipe VI played the traditional flamenco music box during his visit to the Andalusian city of Cadiz on Monday.
International media captured videos of the King drumming with a band playing the famous flamenco box.
Media said the event was held spontaneously after the first day of the 9th Spanish Language Congress in Cadiz, where flamenco music is one of the most popular.
A group of musicians gathered to welcome the Spanish king and his wife, Queen Letizia, who joined the band outside the Gran Teatro Falla, one of Cadiz's theatres.
King Felipe VI played for a few minutes, keeping the tempo, to the delight of his wife.
The King and Queen were greeted by the local authorities, including the Mayor of Cádiz, before making their way inside the Gran Teatro Falla, where the opening session of the conference began with a few words from King Felipe, who highlighted the importance of the event in bringing together all aspects of the Spanish-speaking world.
King Felipe and Queen Letizia then visited a series of exhibitions in the House of Latin America, each dedicated to a different aspect of the Spanish language, from history to contemporary and future technologies.
