His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, , donated Dhs250 million in real estate assets and cash to the 1 Billion Meals Endowment” campaign.
Sheikh Mohammed said on Twitter, “With the end of the holy month, the proceeds of the campaign to end one billion meals reached more than one billion and seventy-five million dirhams, in which more than 180,000 people participated.
“Our thanks and appreciation to all those who contributed to this ongoing charity for the people of the UAE.”
The Dubai Ruler said, “Ramadan in the Emirates is beautiful with goodness... and beautiful with good people... and beautiful with the values of goodness that Zayed Al-Khair established.”
On Tuesday, Sheikh Mohammed announced his personal contribution of real estate assets and monetary contributions worth Dhs 250 million, to establish the largest sustainable food aid endowment fund.
Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Minister of Finance and Deputy Ruler of Dubai said, “The outcome of the billion-meal endowment campaign exceeded Dhs1 billion at the end of the holy month, and through this campaign we guarantee the continuation of giving and reaching those who deserve it everywhere.
“Sheikh Mohammed, with his humanitarian initiatives, established the approach to sustainability in charitable work, and his white hands extended to people all over the world.”
