A flydubai plane caught fire upon taking off from Kathmandu airport in Nepal and was trying to make landing at the airport, Local news agency reported on Monday citing unnamed sources.
flydubai said flight FZ 576 from Kathmandu airport to Dubai International (DXB) experienced bird strike during takeoff from Kathmandu
After following standard procedure the flight will continue as normal to Dubai and is scheduled to land in DXB at 00:14 local time.
Nepal Civil Aviation Authority said flydubai flight number 576, (Boeing 737-800) Kathmandu to Dubai flight is in normal condition now and proceeding to her destination Dubai as per the flight plan.
