With a commitment to academic excellence and innovative multidisciplinary teaching, American University of Sharjah (AUS) will showcase its internationally recognised degree programmes and wide array of scholarships and financial grants at the Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX) to be held on April 26-28, 2023 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
GETEX is a leading student recruitment event in the region, attracting over 25,000 Emirati and expatriate students actively seeking higher education, professional development and training options.
Ali Shuhaimy, Executive Director of Enrollment Management at AUS, shared his excitement about AUS' participation in GETEX, saying: “As a leading university in the region, we believe that access to quality education is crucial to creating a better future for our society.
"Our goal is to share our commitment to academic excellence with prospective students and education professionals and to inspire the next generation of leaders, innovators and decision-makers who will shape the future of our world."
Prospective students who attend GETEX seeking world-class academic programs and financial scholarships for the Fall Semester 2023 can meet with AUS representatives to learn about admission requirements, scholarships and other AUS resources that can help them build promising careers.
Visitors will also have the chance to connect with faculty members and current students, who can share their personal experiences and insights about AUS’ highly regarded academic programs and vibrant student life.
AUS electrical engineering student Adel Ahmed’s journey from Wesgreen International School in Sharjah to enrolling at AUS started at GETEX. At the exhibition, Ahmed connected with current AUS students and learned about opportunities, including the university’s scholarship program, ultimately influencing his decision to pursue his studies at AUS.
"AUS boasts an outstanding academic reputation and the scholarships offered by the university served as an additional motivation to pursue my studies at AUS. Being offered a 30 percent scholarship by AUS was a critical factor in my decision to enroll at the university," Ahmed said.
Prospective students and their parents are welcome to speak with AUS representatives in booth (B 200, Hall 8) throughout GETEX. The exhibition is open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on April 26 and 27, and from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on April 28.
