In less than 12 hours, the anti-narcotics agents at Sharjah Police arrested a gang of seven Asians, who used a new method for promoting narcotics. Using low-income employees of delivery companies, the gang attempted to promote 7,604 grams of crystal, 494 grams of hashish and 297 rolls.
Earlier, the anti-narcotics agents at Sharjah Police received a tip-off that an international gang had adopted a new criminal method to promote their narcotics through the employees of delivery companies, taking advantage of the nature of their work that required them to be in various areas of the country at different times.
The anti-narcotics agents developed an elaborate plan to arrest the gang in co-operation and co-ordination with the anti-narcotics authorities in the neighbouring emirates. This led the gang members to be arrested in record time and referred to the public prosecution for complete legal procedures.
Sharjah Police hereby call on all members of society, particularly parents, to be vigilant and co-operate with the police to confront this scourge that ravages societies, especially young men, by reporting any suspicious behaviours to 901 or via e-mail [email protected].
