Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi, the first Arab to do the historic spacewalk continues to inspire dreams and ambitions.
Al Neyadi shared a video abroad the ISS, parcticing Jiu-Jitsu moves.
The Emirati astronaut said, “Discipline, focus, & adaptability I gained from #JiuJitsu have been invaluable to me on the ISS. Even in microgravity, the moves & postures I learned on Earth serve me well up here. Oss! What Jiu-Jitsu moves would you be interested in doing in space? #UAEJJF #FromMatsToStars.”
Al Neyadi said that his Jiu-Jitsu practice on earth made him strong and helps him perform physical tasks on ISS.
He explains that such strength training has made his ribs and core strong, which helped him perform the spacewalk with ease.
The Emirati astronaut urged everyone to remain focus and have discipline in life.
He asked people on Twitter to share their opinion and astronomy related questions.
Earlier Al Neyadi wrote on Twitter, “On Earth, exercising is important. In space, it's vital. Aboard the International Space Station, we exercise for 2.5 hours every day to avoid muscle atrophy and bone loss triggered by microgravity.”
The UAE space centre said, “Astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi and his Crew-6 colleagues have started to work on their tasks aboard the ISS.”
On the other hand, Al Neyadi shared breathtaking photos of the Eye of the Sahara from ISS on Thursday afternoon.
He wrote, “This image I captured of the Eye of the Sahara ?? from the ISS reveals itself as a geological wonder ?. Also known as The Richat Structure, it serves as a reminder of our planet's incredible beauty and the mysteries that still await our exploration.”
Social media users were stunned by the images and shared some encouraging comments.
