At least 5 dead, 13 injured after truck overturns in Jordan

The Jordanian Ministry of Interior said that a horrific traffic accident killed 5 people and injured 13 others in Adasiya area of Jordan.

Captain Kifah Al-Hazaima, from the Central Traffic Department, said that the accident resulted from the overturning of a truck loaded with iron on the road, which caused the destruction and burning of cars that got hit by it at the moment of the accident.

He added that the accident occurred as a result of the truck's lack of brakes, as well as the driver's failure to check it before moving and exiting on Al-Adasiya road.

Hazaima criticized the behavior of citizens who stopped on both sides of the road to take videos of the accident and broadcast live on social media platforms, stressing that this causes traffic disruption.
