VIDEO: Russian drones cause fireball of explosions in Ukrainian city of Khmelnytsky

A massive explosion destroyed a Ukrainian army silo in the city of Khmelnytsky.

Videos shared on social media showed an enormous fireball followed by an explosion.

Ukrainian authorities said Russia sent 21 drones to an army silo causing the massive explosion.

Emergency service officials said that at least 30 people were injured in the explosion.

Local media said Russian President Vladimir Putin have authorised personnel to target ammunition storages in west Ukraine.

On May 12, Russia launched a "massive” attack on Ukraine with explosive drones, which left more than 30 people wounded, according to the Ukrainian military.

Eighteen of the 23 drones were shot down, but those that got through, and wreckage from those intercepted, damaged 50 apartment buildings, private homes and other buildings, the military said without providing further details.

Some drones hit an army facility causing an explosion, which damaged nearby residential properties.
