If there is one thing that constantly worries – and irritates – most airline passengers, it is their baggage exceeding the weight limit. The normal thing to do if that happens is to take out unnecessary stuff, put it in another bag and hand it over to your family member or friend to take it back home (presuming they are still around, waiting to see you off).
However, one traveller did the unthinkable: to avoid paying the fees, she started wearing the excess clothes from her suitcase, bloating like the actor Brendan Fraser in the movie ‘The Whale.’ It did not work: she still had to pay the charges.
In a video posted online, 19-year-old Adriana Ocampo, who was travelling with a friend from Melbourne to Adelaide, is seen wearing multiple layers of clothing. This happened after she was told by the airline, Jetstar, she would be fined 62 Australian dollars (£33) as her baggage was over the weight limit.
Ocampo ballooned after the act, saying she “looked like a bear.”

“I’m small and petite but I looked like the exact opposite”, she said.
She and her friend figured that the only way they could avoid breaching the weight limit was if they put the clothes on themselves, such as jackets and coats.
Since she was wearing baggy trousers she started stuffing them with her T-shirts and even her iPad, according to the Independent.
Ultimately, she had put in 13 pounds (nearly 6kg) of excess clothing.
She was quite a sight to behold. Everyone was staring at her, amused and laughing, much to her embarrassment.
Some were annoyed that it was delaying the takeoff.
In the end it was all an exercise in futility as they still had to cough up the money towards the excess baggage.
