Six people were killed and seven others were injured in a fire that erupted in a house in Moazzaz area in Abu Dhabi.
The competent teams of Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority (ADCDA) rushed to the scene of a fire and carried out rescue, evacuation and firefighting operations.
The is followed a report to this effect that was received earlier by the ADCDA operations room.
According to the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence officials out of the seven injured two sustained serious injuries while five others sustained moderate injuries.
The ADCDA offered its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery for all the injured.
Investigations are still underway to find out the causes of the fire by the competent authorities, the ADCDA said, stressing the necessity for the public to obtain information from the official authorities and to avoid spreading rumours about the accident.
