A Kuwaiti doctor saved a little girl from choking to death at a store in Irbid, northern Jordan.
Social media users shared a video clip of the incident from surveillance cameras, which was published by a doctor Yaqoub Al-Osaimi, garnering millions of views within hours.
The doctor confirmed via Twitter that the video clip came in conjunction with his graduation celebration at the University of Science and Technology in Jordan where he studied medicine and surgery.
Al-Osaimi said that he had finished his university studies, and decided to take a short vacation in Jordan before returning to Kuwait, and while he was heading to a store to buy a travel bag, he found the girl choking on something.
He pointed out that he heard the screams of those around the girl, then saw a bottle of water without the cap, so he realised that she had swallowed it, which made him follow the manoeuvre of applying abdominal pressures “Heimlich.” The child threw up the bottle cap much to the happiness of those around her.
