A bride has been fined for sitting atop the bonnet of a moving car during wedding celebrations to make videos for social media in India.
Hours after she uploaded the video, which went viral, she was issued two tickets — of Rs16,500 for violating traffic laws.
The incident took place in Prayagraj earlier this week. The video showed a woman wearing bridal attire, sat at the bonnet of a vehicle to create an eye catching Instagram reel.
The video-shoot took place in the posh Civil Lines area.
As intended, the video quickly went viral and ultimately got the attention of the police station in the area.
Investigation into the case identified the woman as Varnika of the Allapur area, shot the reel whilst sitting at the bonnet of an SUV in bridal attire some days ago.
It has additionally been located out that Varnika rode a scooter in the bridal attire without a helmet some months ago.
A ticket of Rs15,000 has been issued for sitting at the bonnet of the moving SUV, while another ticket of Rs1,500 was issued for using the scooter with out a helmet.
Sub-inspector Amit Singh stated the video of the SUV was shot close to All Saints Cathedral on May 16, while the scooter video was created some months ago close to the Chandrashekhar Azad Park.
