Dubai Police officer scales highest peak in Arab world

Dubai Police officer Ahmed Khalifa Al Muzainah scaled Mount Toubkal in the Kingdom of Morocco, the highest peak in North Africa and the Arab world, the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains and the seventh highest peak in Africa with a height of 4,167 metres. Al Muzainah thanked the Dubai Police for encouraging and supporting him in challenging himself and enhancing his physical readiness to be fully prepared to climb Mount Toubkal.
He said he was happy to overcome all obstacles and stages of the climb, which took 22 hours. He indicated that he faced a lot of difficulties in his trek including the low temperature and lack of oxygen at the peak of the mount and the low atmospheric pressure.
He, however, managed to overcome these difficulties, thanks to his physical readiness and prior preparation that he gained through hiking, which required high physical fitness, a tendency to face challenges and a desire for adventure. “Hiking is a sport that requires high physical fitness, challenges difficulties, and satisfies the desire for adventure,” Al Mazrouei concluded.
