UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a message of congratulations to Erdogan on his re-election as president.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, also dispatched similar messages to Erdogan.
Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani wished the Turkish president success in a tweet.
Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Erdogan who claimed victory in Turkey's presidential election on Sunday, saying the win was evidence the Turkish people appreciated Erdogan's independent foreign policy.
"The election victory was a natural result of your selfless work as the head of the Republic of Turkey, clear evidence of the support of the Turkish people for your efforts to strengthen state sovereignty and conduct an independent foreign policy," Putin said in a message to Erdogan, according to the Kremlin.
Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban congratulated Erdogan via Twitter for an "unquestionable election victory.” Other congratulations poured in from Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Libya, Algeria, Serbia and Uzbekistan.
