The UAE government affirmed that the UAE citizens have priority in being appointed to any of the vacant jobs in the federal authorities, adding that non-nationals can be appointed in case the citizen does not meet the conditions and requirements of the job.
It also affirmed that it is prohibited to discriminate on the basis of race, colour, or any other classification, or because of a disability.
The government added that the basic criterion for priority when employing in federal entities depends on the set of skills which the employee has, based on the results of the evaluation and tests he is subjected to by the employer.
It also stressed assigning of jobs for qualified people of determination citizens, which should be appropriate to their health status, provided that they are provided with all appropriate means to perform their job duties, as well as equipping their workplaces with the means and requirements which suit the nature of their special needs.
The Federal Authority, in coordination with the concerned authorities, will determine the nature of the arrangements they need in the work environment, to ensure that they carry out their work in a safe manner.
