The Abu Dhabi Court for Family and Civil and Administrative Cases rejected a lawsuit filed by an employee of a company in which he demanded to obligate his colleague to pay him Dhs570,000, and a delay interest of 12% from the date of the claim until full payment.
He also asked the court to view the WhatsApp chats between them and get the appellee to swear that he did not get the amount claimed from him.
The appellant also demanded that the appellee be obligated to pay the fees, expenses, and lawyer's fees.
The appellant said that he gave his colleague a loan in installments, and after friendly attempts to urge him to pay, he refused and stalled, so he filed his lawsuit attaching copies of WhatsApp chats.
In court, the appellee took the oath in the form specified by the court at the request of the appellant, so the court acquitted him and dismissed the case.
