The Egyptian police arrested a 40-year-old Egyptian who tortured his 3-year-old child and threw him on the stairs of the house, claiming his life.
The details of the incident date back to an earlier time when Al Ayyat Central Hospital in Giza Governorate received the child dead and with bruises in separate parts of his body.
The hospital informed the General Investigation Department due to a criminal suspicion.
Investigations proved that the victim’s father assaulted him. When he was questioned, he justified his crime by saying that he was disciplining his son, according to Al Masry Al Youm newspaper.
The father confessed also that he tried to save his son by taking him to hospital, but he died, adding that he did not intended to kill him, and that he threw him out of the apartment with the intention of disciplining him, but he fell and fainted.
The Public Prosecution ordered the suspect to be detained for 4 days as a precautionary measure, and requested the forensic medicine to determine the causes of death.
