VIDEO: ‘There is a promising Russian project in Egypt, and a similar one scheduled for UAE,’ Putin tells Mohamed Bin Zayed

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has reinforced the importance of communication and dialogue to support regional and international stability and peace.

Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed said on Twitter, “Today I met with President Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg to discuss bilateral relations between the UAE & Russia, & the situation in Ukraine. The UAE continues to support all efforts aimed at reaching a political solution through dialogue & diplomacy - towards global peace & stability.”

During the meeting, Putin informed Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed about the latest projects in Egypt and UAE.

"There is a promising Russian project in Egypt, and a similar project is scheduled to be established in the UAE," the Russian President Putin told Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed during the meeting.

"Make it tripartite cooperation with Egypt,"  Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed replied.
"We will discuss this with El Sisi...it is a good idea," Putin said.

The two leaders discussed the longstanding relations as part of the UAE-Russia strategic partnership framework.

Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed and President Putin expressed their ongoing commitment to further build on the bilateral ties between the two nations.
