Abu Dhabi Commercial Court obligated a company to pay Dhs34,665 to an insurance company that issued 20 insurance policies for the appellee’s vehicles against loss, damage and civil liability.
The company did not pay the amounts according to the report of the consultant assigned to look into the case papers.
In the details, an insurance company filed a lawsuit against a company, in which it demanded that it be obligated to pay it an amount of Dhs34,665, and the legal interest at 12% annually from the date of filing the lawsuit until the full payment.
The appellant company explained that it had issued insurance policies for the appellee 's vehicles against loss, damage and civil liability, but it did not pay the amounts.
The court clarified that the consultant expert’s report proved that the insurance company had already issued 20 insurance policies, but the appellee company did not pay its value of Dhs34,665.
The court explaining that it was satisfied with the expert’s report, in addition to that the appellee company did not provide evidence to clear itself of those amounts, and then the court obligated it to pay the insurance company Dhs34,665 besides an interest of 5% annually from the date of fling the lawsuit until full payment.
