His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, directed the Social Services Department to help the citizen Abu Mohammed solve his problem, as the unemployment support he receives from the department had stopped.
Abu Mohammed had an eye surgery, and was retired from his workplace on grounds of fitness. He also became unable to work for any other employer for the same reason.
Sheikh Sultan also directed the Department of Housing to solve the citizen's housing problem, as he lives with his five-member-family in a tenanted flat, because they do not have their own house.
Separately, Sheikh Sultan directed the Director of the Amiri Diwan in Khorfakkan to look into the problem of the citizen, Halima, whose housing support had stopped, because she moved in 2015 to reside in Oman with her husband, and when she returned to the country, she could not recover the assistance.
This came in a quick response from Sheikh Sultan to those who contacted him through the “Direct Line” program broadcast by the Sharjah Broadcast Authority, and announced by Mohammed Khalaf.
Last month, Sheikh Sultan has directed the Chairman of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) to communicate with the Ministry of Community Development, to facilitate all procedures and solve the problem of all families who were unable to benefit from deductions decided by SEWA, which Sheikh Sultan had directed before to support low-income people.
This was announced by Mohammed Khalaf, through Sharjah Radio and Television, indicating that Sheikh Sultan’s directives came in a quick response to a call by a woman named Fatimah, who sought a solution to the problem of her elderly father, after he had not received electricity and water deductions for two months, because his name was not included among the beneficiary names.
