Ras Al Khaimah Court ordered a person who caused the death of a young man in a runover accident and the insurance company to pay Dhs100,000 as compensation to the heirs of the victim.
Ras Al Khaimah Misdemeanours Court of First Instance fined the suspect Dhs100,000, and ordered him to pay the legal blood money of Dhs200,000 to the heirs, but he appealed the verdict to the RAK Misdemeanours Court of Appeal, that rejected the appeal and upheld the ruling, so that the total blood money and compensation amounted to Dhs300,000.
The lawyer for the victim’s parents explained that the father and mother filed a civil lawsuit, claiming Dhs150,000, in compensation for the material and moral damages they incurred, due to the accident, based on the accusations attributed to him in Ras Al Khaimah traffic case, such as non-compliance with traffic signs and traffic rules.
