The National Guard Command and the Emirates News Agency (WAM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding their cooperation in the media sector.
The MoU builds on their awareness of the importance of coordination and collaboration, laying the foundations for joint work, and enhancing the overall strategic partnership between local and federal government entities to serve the public good.
The MoU was signed by Staff Major General Salem Saeed Al Jaberi, Commander of the National Guard, and Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, Director-General of WAM.
On the occasion, Al Jaberi highlighted the National Guard's commitment to enhancing its media cooperation with WAM and lauded the agency for its exceptional capabilities and accumulated experiences over more than four decades, being a sincere and authentic voice reporting local affairs and activities in all areas, and meticulously observing the journey of giving and progress under the guidance of UAE’s leadership.
He then expressed his confidence that the MoU would strengthen their bilateral cooperation, benefitting both parties and enhancing their roles to achieve their respective goals.
For his part, Al Rayssi welcomed the signing of the MoU with the National Guard Command and expressed his belief that it will further their constructive cooperation, stressing that the agreement aims to achieve the objectives of both parties, in line with the UAE's development drive and under the directives of its leadership.
He then discussed the areas of cooperation outlined in the MoU, especially those related to enhancing the media cooperation between the National Guard Command and WAM in terms of exchanging news, photos, videos and media activities, along with sharing experiences in support of their goals.
The MoU is the start of the cooperation between the two sides, serving their mutual interests and highlighting the efforts and activities of the National Guard Command, he added.
