The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) called on the public to take caution during the heavy rains and strong winds caused by the cumulus clouds in some eastern, northern and some inland areas, which might lead solid bodies to fly and horizontal visibility to be lower. It also called on them to stay away from flooded valleys and large puddles.
Friday’s weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy in general, as low clouds will appear on the eastern coast in the morning and some rainy cumulus clouds will form in the east and south and some inland and western areas in the afternoon.
Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow, turning to active to strong and sand-stirring at times at 15 to 25 and up to 55 km/h, causing horizontal visibility to be lower. The sea will have regular to moderate waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Saturday’s weather will be clear to partly cloudy in general with low clouds appearing in the eastern coast in the morning and a chance for some rainy cumulus clouds to form over some eastern, southern and western areas in the afternoon.
