Two Emirati women were killed, while seven other members of an Emirati family sustained injuries in a vehicle collision.
They were on a trip to Oman's Dhofar governorate, where thousands of Emiratis spend their vacation in Salalah’s season.
The Omani Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority reported that the rescue teams in Al Wusta Governorate were dispatched to the location of the collision that took between two light vehicles in the state of Haima.
The accident caused the deaths of two women (a teacher and her niece), while seven others, including children, sustained different injuries.
They were provided with the necessary first aid, and then transferred to the hospital in critical condition.
The bodies of the deceased were transferred to the country, where they were laid to rest on Saturday evening in the presence of a crowd of mourners.
