Separate areas of the country, on Saturday, witnessed heavy rain, because of the country being affected by an extension of a surface air depression, accompanied by an extension of an air depression in the upper layers of the atmosphere, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said.
Light to moderate rain fell on the Khatm Al Shakla in Al Ain, while it was heavy on the Shawka-Wadi Al Helo road, Sharjah-Kalba road, North Al Manai, Asfni, Masafi, separate areas in Ras Al Khaimah, Sheikh Khalifa Street in Fujairah, and other areas of the country, the National Centre of Meteorology added.
The National Centre of Meteorology also indicated that the lowest temperature recorded in the country on Saturday was 23.1°C in Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah at 3:45 am.
The National Centre of Meteorology appealed to individuals to be careful and exercise caution while driving during rainfall, and advised them to stay away from places flooded with rainwater and surface-run-offs.
In the same context, the Dhabi Police called on drivers to be careful due to rainy weather conditions, and to adhere to the variable speed shown on the electronic signboard.
The National Centre of Meteorology has also expected that the weather on Sunday will be fair to partly cloudy with a chance of some cumulus clouds formation eastward and southward, and may extend over some inland areas with rainfall and an increase in temperature. Humid by night and Monday morning over some coastal areas. The winds will be light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust during daytime, at a speed of 10 – 25 reaching up to 40 kilometres/hour. The waves will be slight to moderate at times in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Sea of Oman.
According to the expectations of the National Centre of Meteorology, the temperatures expected on Sunday will be in the range of 30-43°C in Abu Dhabi, 29-42°C in Dubai, 29-40°C in Sharjah, 30-41°C in Ajman, 29-40°C in Umm Al Quwain, 30-41°C in Ras Al Khaimah, 29-34°C in Fujairah, 27-43°C in Al Ain, 28-45°C in Liwa and 29-42°C in Al Ruwais.
The weather on Monday is expected to be fair to partly cloudy with low clouds to appear over the eastern coast by the morning with a chance of some cumulus clouds formation southward may associated with rainfall. Humid by night and Tuesday morning over some western areas with a probability mist formation. The winds will be light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly, freshening at times causing blowing dust and sand during daytime, at a speed of 10 – 25 reaching up to 40 kilometres/hour. The waves will be slight to moderate at times in the Arabian Gulf and slight in Oman.
Tuesday’ weather is expected to be fair to partly cloudy especially eastward. Humid by night and Wednesday morning over some western areas with a probability of fog or mist formation. The winds will be light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust and sand during the daytime, at a speed of 10 – 25 reaching up to 40 kilometres/hour. The sea will be slight to moderate at times in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Sea of Oman.

Humid by night and on Thursday morning over some northern areas with a probability of fog or mist formation. The winds will be light to moderate, southeasterly becoming northwesterly, freshening at times during daytime, at a speed of 10 – 25 reaching 35 kilometres/hour. The waves will be slight in the Arabian Gulf in the Sea of Oman.
