The Emirati Talent Competitiveness Programme (Nafis) has identified four criteria for benefiting from the Emirati child allowance programme, which provides government financial support to the children of male and female Emiratis working in the private, banking, financial and insurance sectors with the aim of providing a decent life for the Emirati family.
To get the allowance, the salary should be less than Dhs50,000, and the Emirati woman is eligible for the programme only if she is the breadwinner for her children.
The programme covers up to four sons and daughters under 21 years, who are not currently employed or married.
According to the programme, an Emirati working in the private sector is granted a child allowance of Dhs600 per each child, provided that the total monthly salary does not exceed Dhs50,000. Allowances continue to be granted against male and female children up to the age of 21 unless they get married or are employed.
Meanwhile, some 114 private sector establishments and companies joined Nafis over the past week to offer thousands of multiple jobs for Emiratis via the website www.nafis.gov.ae. This brings to 11,364 the total number of establishments and companies that joined the programme up to Tuesday.
These establishments and companies provide an opportunity for Emiratis to learn about job vacancies in the private sector and the related vocational training opportunities.
They also enable employers to find suitable Emiratis to fill their job vacancies. These companies also benefit from the salary support for employees and the discounts on pensions.
Nafis called on private sector companies to sign in through the platform by downloading the digital ID app, creating their own account. The Emirates ID will then be authenticated and the personal information will be verified.
It also called on Emirati job seekers to update their data on the platform as soon as possible to take advantage of the available job opportunities and help automatic matching between the job seeker’s qualifications and experience and the jobs offered, among others.
