The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) has identified 3 categories that are exempted from administrative delay fees related to the Emirates ID card. Applicants can apply for exemption from delay fines through the official website or smart application "UAEICP," ICP said.
“You can easily obtain an exemption from delay penalty through our website, “icp.gov.ae” or the UAEICP Smart application,” it said on Tuesday on social medial platforms.
The ICP explained that the categories exempted from the delay penalties with regard to the UAE ID. Cards include an individual who left the UAE over 3 months ago and his/her ID Card expired after his/her departure of the UAE.
An individual whose ID Card expired after he/she was deported by virtue of administrative order or decision or a Court judgment or whose passport is withheld in connection with lawsuits, provided that this shall be proven through a letter or receipt issued by the competent bodied deported that individual or withheld his passport, and an individual for whom no ID.
Card was issued for the period before obtaining the Emirati citizenship and getting the family book.

Applicant shall apply for the service via the smart service, and then enclose the required documents for getting the service and following up the application, then he/she will get the result of the application, whether approval or refusal, then completing the application for the ID Card.
