This is according to a tweet Salem posted on the “X” platform, with a group photo with engineer Adnan Al-Rais, director of the “Zayed Ambition 2” mission, astronaut Hazza Al-Mansouri, and members of the center’s team in Houston.
Salem wrote, “I met @Astro_Alneyadi after his 6-month mission in space. He is in great health, and the first thing he said to me was, "I am ready for the next mission."
This embodies the spirit of the UAE Astronaut Programme. I am very excited for what's next. Stay tuned.”
He added that he met the Emirati astronaut after 6 months of absence, during his mission aboard the international station, and he is in excellent health. He assured him that he was ready for the next mission.
He continued: "This spirit is what distinguishes our astronauts and the Emirates Astronaut Programme. This is Zayed's ambition, and I personally am very excited about what is coming."
Al Neyadi is currently undergoing his medical rehabilitation at the Kennedy Space Center in Houston, Texas, USA. The rehabilitation program is expected to last 14 days, including medical examinations, to ensure his health and safety, after completing the longest mission for Arab astronauts in the international station.
