The Abu Dhabi Family, Civil and Administrative Cases Court ordered a man to pay Dhs687,000 to a woman, who had lent him this amount through paying rent of his house, utility bills, his home furniture and traffic fines.
They were reportedly in a relationship, and when she asked him to pay the sums owed to her, he procrastinated in doing so, the Court heard.
In the details, the woman sued her ex-boyfriend demanding to oblige him to pay her an amount of Dhs687,000 with interest rate of 12 per cent from the date of the claim until full payment, as well as obliging him to pay fees and expenses and the attorney's fees.
The plaintiff supported her claim with photocopies of bank account statements, screenshots of chat between them via 'WhatsApp', bank transfer receipts, and payment receipts of traffic fines.
