Two security employees at an American airport were caught stealing passengers' money and belongings while performing their duties at one of the security checkpoint at the airport.
The CCTV footage, which went viral on social media. is reportedly of Miami International Airport and it shows Labarius Williams, 33, and Josh Gonzalez, 20, tampering with passengers’ bags and stealing money and other items from them.
According to the authorities Williams and Gonzalez stole nearly $600 in cash and some other items from passengers'luggage.
Both of them were arrested along with their third accomplice, Elizabeth Foster, 22.
According to a report in New York Post, a probe has been initiated into the cases related to the loss of passengers’ belonging from the airport’s security checkpoint.
In the video the two can be seen fiddling with some bags and taking out items without any of the passengers standing nearby noticing what was happening.
Authorities charged all three of them with organised crime charges.
When confronted with the video proof Williams and Gonzalez admitted to their crime and told authorites that that they used collect approximately a thousand dollars a day.
Investigators, however, dropped charges against Foster and Gonzalez was given a chance to enter rehabilitation programme in order to get exempted from trial. He was alos asked to pay $700 to the unidentified robbery victims.
Gonzalez accepted the offer and his charges will be dropped once he completes rehabilitation programme. He will also lose his job.
Williams, however, refused to enter rehabilitation programme and his trial is set for October.
