The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reported that a weather state would affect the country the country on Monday and Tuesday, as formation of cumulus clouds accompanied by rain with lightning, thunder, and hailstones expected in the UAE.
The authorities warned the residents to remain cautious to stay away from valleys and other flood-prone areas. The NCM also stressed that it is following the situation around the clock and will provide the public with the latest developments, appealing to everyone to follow up on the bulletins and reports issued by the NCM and not to circulate rumours.
The NCM explained that the weather state is due to an extension of surface low pressure from the east, accompanied by an extension of a weak upper-air low-pressure system.
It has also expected that the weather on Monday and Tuesday will be fair to partly cloudy at times. Low clouds may tower over the eastern coast by the morning, with a chance of some cumulus clouds formation eastward and southward by afternoon may be associated with rainfall. A gradual increase in temperatures is also expected.
It will be humid by night and on Wednesday morning over some coastal and inland areas. The winds will be light to moderate, southeasterly to northeasterly, freshening at times during daytime causing blowing dust, at a speed of 10 – 25 reaching up to 40 km/h.
The sea will be slight to moderate at times in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Sea of Oman.
