Abu Dhabi Family, Civil and Administrative Cases Court obligated a person to pay Dhs10,000 to another who threatened him verbally, causing him material and moral damages.
In detail, a person filed a lawsuit against another in which he requested that the other person be obligated to pay him Dhs15,000 in compensation for the material and moral damages he incurred, as well as obligating him to pay the fees and expenses of the lawsuit.
The appellant said that the appellee threatened him verbally and a criminal case was filed over the incident in which the court convicted him and fined him Dhs3,000, and also obligated him to pay the legal fees.
The court showed that the case papers proved that the appellee threatened the complainant verbally, and that he was convicted of that charge in a criminal case.
It added that the threat caused the complainant material and moral damage, consequently, it obligated the appellee to pay the appellant a compensation of Dhs10,000 for all damages.
