Dubai ranked first regionally and 20th globally among the wealthiest cities in the world, according to the latest classification issued by the CEO World website.
According to the report, Dubai includes 68,400 individuals, each of whom has a wealth of more than a million dollars, 206 millionaires, each of whom has a wealth of 100 million dollars or more, and 15 billionaires.
It is no secret that most millionaires and billionaires prefer to live in big cities rather than attractive cities.
The reason for this is that they enjoy the amenities and services that come with living in the city, such as great schools, access to a variety of career paths, and a thriving arts and cultural scene.
New York City topped the list of the richest cities in the world, as it includes 340,000 individuals whose wealth exceeds one million dollars, and 724 millionaires and 58 billionaires, while Tokyo came in second place, as it includes 290,000 individuals whose wealth exceeds one million dollars, 250 millionaires and 14 billionaires, then San Francisco is in third place with 285,000 individuals whose wealth exceeds one million dollars, 629 millionaires, and 63 billionaires.
Among the 20 richest cities in the world, according to the CEO World website, London came fourth with 258,000 high net worth individuals, including 384 millionaires (over 100 million) and 36 billionaires, then Singapore came with 240,100 millionaires (329 over 100 million dollars), and 27 billionaires.
Los Angeles came sixth with 205,400 millionaires (480 millionaires over $100 million) and 42 billionaires, and Hong Kong came seventh with 129,500 millionaires (290 people over $100 million) and 32 billionaires. Ranking from eighth to thirteenth place were Beijing, Shanghai, Sydney, Chicago, Toronto, and Frankfurt, respectively, all with more than 100,000 rich people, followed by Zurich, Houston, Seoul, Melbourne, and Paris, with more than 90,000 each, and Geneva came in the 19th place with 85,800 millionaires (305 people with more than 100 million) and 15 billionaires.
