The UAE Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) wants to assure the public that recent reports of a possible worldwide internet service interruption on October 11th are incorrect.
The authorities said, “We strongly encourage everyone to rely solely on our official channels for accurate information to avoid unnecessary worry.”
Dubai Digital Authority has warned of phone hacking via WhatsApp, where fraudsters try to seize data and ask for bankcard information.
The Authority said via X platform, “In recent hours, attempts to steal people's WhatsApp accounts have drastically increased, whereby fraudsters send messages through WhatsApp from names of people known to the recipient asking him/her to click on a link to join a group, through which they will attempt to acquire your trust and your data.”
